It won't be HIS fault, you see. If only he had more power over those darn businessmen who just won't fall in line...

I wonder if this will change the mind of the left over the unitary executive theory...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6385085882160667044.post-90078063159884880232008-11-11T16:01:00.000+00:002008-11-11T16:01:00.000+00:00~Paules says,We are a republic of 300 million citi...~Paules says,

We are a republic of 300 million citizens. The body politic is ornery and protective of its liberties. Rule? The Obama presumes to rule? Well, I for one refuse to be ruled. And if the state should attempt to force me into a position of servitude, then the state will have my dead body, but not my compliance.

But really, gentlemen, such words were chosen poorly. The sentiments reveal foolish arrogance. An imperious attitude will quickly provoke the press once toes get stepped on and prerogatives are violated. Do you think the Congress any less protective of their rights and prerogatives? The president-elect will quickly find himself constrained by a tri-partheid system of government even if he does hold a majority.

In the end an Obama administration will fail. And fail it must because our new president was schooled in a failed ideology. He can make much mischief, of course, but any attempt to impose his will on an unwilling populace will result in a backlash. If the Obama has even a shred of wisdom, he'll learn quickly the necessity of governing from the center. Don't go ballistic over the rhehtoric. Wait till we have actual policies to consider. We are still a republic with all the inherent advantages of a free people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6385085882160667044.post-38526815345118378042008-11-11T12:21:00.000+00:002008-11-11T12:21:00.000+00:00This was all embedded in the left's repeated refra...This was all embedded in the left's repeated refrain "The President runs the country."

No! The President does NOT run the country. The President's job is to be CEO of the Government and The Commander in Chief of the military. The Government's ONLY permitted/authorized function is to protect and defend the borders of the country from external attack, to prosecute violators of the rights of the citizens, and to deliver the mail. We the People are the one's who are supposed to "run the country".

However, the general pattern Obama will follow should have been painfully obvious to one and all from his first public speech. Obama will ascend to the throne and rule by Divine Right. Anyone who is old fashion enough to object to his glorious and infallible wisdom will be reconstituted. The will of The Obama will be enforced. Especially if you are a rich white guy. Meaning: if you have a job and take responsibility for yourself and your family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
